About Us
In 2019, the Muslim community of Waukegan faced a significant challenge: the absence of a mosque where they could gather for prayers and community activities. The need for a place of worship was urgent, as over 1,250 Muslims in the area were unable to perform their prayers collectively. This situation led to a collective effort to purchase a property and turn it into a mosque for the local Muslim community.
Driven by the vision to establish a dedicated space for worship, Mr. Patel has been tirelessly committed to fundraising and preparing for the mosque’s opening. This Ramadan marked a significant milestone, as it was the first time Tarawih prayers were held in the newly built mosque. It was a moment of joy and reflection for the community.
